The Science Bit....
Giving to others activates the reward centre - the bit that makes us feel good in our brain - which makes us want to do more of it.
And numerous scientists have measured the impact of dontating to charity, volunteering or 'acts of kindness' and they show a real increase in long lasting happiness.
Remember though, it has more impact if our acts are DELIBERATE, rather than small random acts of kindess. It needs to be over and above what we currently do. So try and do a deliberate do good every day and notice what happens.
